He particularly enjoys incorporating traditional tools and techniques into his work. He also loves hunting with bows he has crafted, and he shot a deer with his bow thanks to his friend, George Trefethen. In this episode he and Eric talk about how he got into making bows, species of woods he favors, how hunting is a way to get people closer to the land, and George’s advice for folks who want to learn to make their first bow, among other things.
